Submit at the VFS centre or SA Embassy or SA High Commission in your country
Applying Inside South Africa (Change of Status)
If you're on a Visitor's Visa: You generally cannot apply locally.
With a Waiver Letter: If you obtain an approved Waiver Letter from the Department of Home Affairs (waiving the requirement to apply from abroad), you can submit your work visa application at VFS inside South Africa.
⚡ IMPORTANT: You must have the approved Waiver Letter BEFORE submitting your work visa application.
You need to score 100 Points to apply for a Work Visa. If you do not score 100 points, then you must apply for a Waiver or check if your occupation is on the Critical Skills List (in the Critical Skills tab).
